MPs’ travel expenses are for a year

On her profile on the social network Facebook MP Silvana Boneva stated that it was not true that the expenses the online magazine “Inbox 7” had written about were for a year, but for two years.

The documents show that all expenses were paid for the first 11 months of 2014. Some of these costs were incurred in 2013 (from May to December 2013 and paid in 2014). That calculation includes travel expenses from January to September 2014.

The formula for calculating the expenses is 30% of the price per liter of petrol for every kilometer. 66 MPs have the right to use travel expenses of the Assembly.

Seemingly it turns out that the expenses we have written about are for 15 months. But here we have to mention that on March 5, 2014 the Parliament dissolved itself and the new Parliament was constituted on May 12, 2014. It is two and a half months. When the annual leave of 3 weeks or 42 days in 2013 and 2014 is added to this, it turns out that the travel expenses of MPs in the of Inbox 7 research are for one year.

Due to the huge interest and not to have doubts and confusions, here are the documents important for this research available to the public:

  1. Aleksandar Nikoloski;
  2. Roza Topuzova-Karevska;
  3. Ramiz Merko;
  4. Antonio Miloshoski;
  5. Ilija Dimovski;
  6. Dragan Cuklev;
  7. Ane Lashkoska;
  8. Silvana Boneva;
